Mateo Lamuño is a Spanish actor and visual artist based in Los Angeles.

Mateo arrived in America to study at HB Studio, New York, graduating from its Conservatory Core Program. He later trained with Academy Award winner Mercedes Ruehl, Tony Award winner Jack Hofsiss, Broadway Actress Tina Benko, Fitzmaurice Voicework Master Teacher Ilse Pfeifer, and Speech Coach and Master Teacher Erik Singer, among many other industry leading artists. Further training in NYC included workshops with Frantic Assembly (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) and The Raúl Julia Professional Training Unit at the Puerto Rican Traveling Theater.

Prior to training in the US, Mateo graduated in Audiovisual Communication at the Complutense University of Madrid and studied acting at William Layton’s Theater Lab, where he learned the foundations of European theater from Master Teachers Begoña Valle and Arnold Tarraborelli.

Mateo’s accolades include nominations to the Latin ACE Awards as Best Featured Actor and two consecutive nominations to the ATI Awards in NYC in the Best Supporting Actor and Best Actor categories. He’s currently an advisory member at IATI Theater and keeps busy working on both coasts and internationally.

As a writer, his script My Visa is currently in production.
